Namly: Baby Names 2026

Namly is a baby name discovery app built around the single biggest decision new and expecting parents face: what to call their child. Rather than scrolling through static lists, Namly lets you browse 104,819 names from 35 cultural origins across 5 world regions — the largest curated collection in any baby name app — through a swipe-based interface that feels closer to a dating app than a spreadsheet.

Swipe right on a name to love it and it's automatically saved to your shortlist; swipe left to skip and move on. Every name comes with its meaning, origin story, popularity ranking, and common nickname suggestions, so you know exactly what you're choosing before you commit. Origins range from English, French, and Arabic to Hindi, Yoruba, Maori, and dozens more, letting parents search for names that reflect their own heritage or simply discover something entirely new.

Namly's standout feature is its Vibe Score — a unique numerology-based personality reading powered by Pythagorean numerology, revealing archetypes like The Leader, The Peacemaker, or The Visionary for every name, complete with a full letter-by-letter breakdown. Combine that with popularity rankings (from Very Popular to Rare), a daily Name of the Day, and a Sibling Name Matcher that suggests names compatible with a child you already have, and Namly becomes a genuine decision-making tool rather than just a browsing app.

Build and share a shortlist with notes, track personal insights about your naming preferences over time, and enjoy full dark mode and VoiceOver accessibility throughout. Whether you're newly pregnant or days from your due date, Namly is designed to be the only baby name app you need.
